Origin

I’ve been in the mortgage business for more than 20 years. Home Financial Group, where I’m a part owner today, was established in 2002 in Oakland Park, Florida. Over that stretch I’ve closed thousands of loans across every major program — FHA, VA, conventional, jumbo, DSCR, bank statement, foreign national, condo, commercial. The product changes; what matters doesn’t.

What 20+ years taught me is straightforward: this business is about trust. People aren’t financing real estate — they’re financing the next chapter of their life. A first home. A rental that becomes retirement income. A building that lets a family business expand. Treat that with the weight it deserves and the rest takes care of itself.

The pivot

For the last few years I’ve been spending more of my time on something adjacent to the mortgage work: helping real estate professionals use AI and technology to do their jobs better. Realtors, brokers, teams, property managers. The people who close the deals my loans finance.

The conviction is simple. Real estate is a relationship business with a lot of repetitive scaffolding around it — lead capture, content, comp analysis, paperwork, follow-up. AI is genuinely good at the scaffolding. The agents who learn to leverage it will spend more time on the relationships that matter and less on the busy work that doesn’t. The ones who don’t will be working twice as hard for the same results.

I’m not selling courses or hype. I’m showing up, building tools I actually use, sharing what works, and writing about it here.

The person

I’m a husband and a father to two boys. We’re parishioners of St. Anthony’s Catholic School. Faith and family are the anchors — everything else is downstream of that.

Down the road, I want to focus more on small-business acquisition and helping good operators hire well. The thread connecting all of it — mortgage, AI, acquisitions, hiring — is the same: helping people make smart, high-stakes decisions about the things that matter most to them.
